Effective, safe pelvic pain treatment
We evaluated the use of hyaluronic acid and chondroitin sulfate through intravesical instillation to treat refractory painful bladder syndrome in forty patients.

Over several months, patients received weekly treatments and reported significant reductions in pain and symptom severity, as measured by multiple scales.

Impressively, all participants tolerated the treatment well with no documented side effects. Overall, our findings suggest that this approach is both safe and effective for managing pelvic pain.

Hyaluronic acid reduces pelvic pain
We aimed to understand how effective intravesical hyaluronic acid (HA) treatment is for women suffering from refractory interstitial cystitis/painful bladder syndrome (IC/PBS). In our study, 33 patients with significant pain received weekly HA instillations for four weeks. We assessed their pain levels and overall symptoms at the end of the treatment.

The results indicated that HA instillation was both effective and safe, helping to reduce pain among participants. Interestingly, we found that previous treatments or the presence of Hunner's ulcer did not influence HA's effectiveness.

Positive effects on postoperative recovery
We evaluated how New Cross linked Hyaluronan Gel (NCH gel) influences patients' quality of life after surgery for Deep Infiltrating Endometriosis (DIE). In a well-structured randomized controlled trial, patients received either the gel or a placebo saline solution post-surgery.

Our findings showed that those treated with NCH gel reported significantly lower pain levels and improved overall health scores at three and six months after surgery. This suggests that using NCH gel can enhance recovery and quality of life following endometriosis surgery.

I took collagen with Eicherb, and after the course, I noted significant improvements. My previous issues with joint pain, particularly knee discomfort, lessened considerably. After a month of taking this collagen, the pain in my knees decreased drastically, with some days completely pain-free. Should the pain return, it is not as severe as it was before.

Collagen type 2 is beneficial for joint pain. I recommend taking it in cycles, with a break in between. Improvements were noticeable after a couple of weeks of taking it. I would advise anyone with joint discomfort, such as aching knees or hands, to try this type of collagen; it truly aids recovery.

Hyaluronic acid aids pelvic pain relief
We explored the effects of high molecular weight hyaluronic acid (HMWHA) on pelvic pain in pregnant women through a pilot study.

In our research, 200 women received daily oral supplements of HMWHA along with other nutrients. In comparison, 50 women formed a control group taking magnesium only.

Results showed significant reductions in pelvic pain, preterm birth, contractions, and hospitalizations in the treatment group. Our findings suggest that HMWHA could be a promising option for managing pelvic pain during pregnancy.

We explored the impact of high molecular weight sodium hyaluronate (HMW-HA) on pelvic pain caused by radiation-induced cystitis. In this prospective study involving 30 patients across seven centers in France, participants received six weekly intravesical instillations of HMW-HA.

Results showed a notable reduction in pelvic pain intensity and improvements in other symptoms, like hematuria and urinary frequency. These positive outcomes were stable even four weeks after treatment. Thankfully, the therapy was well-tolerated with minimal side effects.

However, we recognize that more in-depth studies are needed to solidify these findings.

Hyaluronic acid shows promise
This study looked into how well hyaluronic acid (HA) treatments help relieve pelvic pain in patients with bladder pain syndrome and urinary tract infections. We found that, after long-term use, patients experienced significant reductions in symptoms like urinary bladder pain and urgency. Remarkably, around 75% of participants saw complete relief and needed no further treatments.

Overall, our results suggest that HA can be a valuable option for improving quality of life in those suffering from these conditions, making a positive impact with few side effects.

My husband has suffered from constant pain in his right leg due to a lower spine issue for 1.5 years, and numerous treatments, including physiotherapy and painkillers, failed to help. After a recent consultation, a doctor recommended collagen, which we decided to try. Remarkably, within a week, he noticed improvement and stopped taking pain medication. He now takes 2 tablets twice a day alongside vitamin C for better absorption, and we plan to continue for the full three months. I only wish I had purchased one jar.

This collagen has been a lifesaver for my knee! At my age, I've faced joint issues, but when my knee began to hurt significantly, I was lucky to have ordered this supplement based on a colleague's advice after a course of chondroitin. After just 2 days, the pain diminished greatly, and by day 5, it had completely resolved. Even my father, who has arthrosis at 60 years old, experienced relief within a week, which he initially found hard to believe. We will now continue taking it twice a year.

Wonderful! At 70 years old, I struggled with knee pain that prevented me from walking even a kilometre. On my doctor's advice, I began taking collagen type 2, and now I can climb five flights of stairs without the lift. I have completely forgotten the discomfort of knee pain. The quality of iHerb's products is very good.

I regularly take bovine collagen which somewhat helped my joint pain, but realised it mainly benefits the skin. So, I added type 2 collagen to my routine, and it truly seems to make a difference with my joints. The bovine collagen greatly diminished my knee pain, and coupling it with type 2 collagen and moderate exercise eliminated my remaining discomfort in mere days. It's a superb quality product for enhancing joint health.

This works for my knees! I have osteoarthritis in my right knee and shoulder. After 2 weeks of taking 2 pills twice daily, I felt improvements; my left knee pain disappeared entirely, while the right knee pain has reduced by 70%. Unfortunately, it hasn't helped my shoulder much, but I wholly recommend it for knee issues.

Efficacy of HA and CS therapy
We evaluated the effectiveness of adding hyaluronic acid and chondroitin sulfate to standard Bacillus Calmette-Guérin (BCG) treatment for bladder cancer.

In a multicentric study, patients receiving these instillations reported less pelvic pain, lower urinary frequency, and improved overall urinary symptoms compared to those who only had BCG.

This indicates that hyaluronic acid and chondroitin sulfate might offer significant relief, helping patients stick with their treatment plan and reducing the chances of therapy dropout.

We aimed to explore how hyaluronic acid-chondroitin sulfate treatment impacts pelvic pain in patients suffering from overactive bladder (OAB). Our study involved 150 newly diagnosed OAB patients split into three treatment groups: one receiving antimuscarinics, another with a combination of antimuscarinics and hyaluronic acid, and the third with no antimuscarinics. While combination therapy showed positive results for those new to antimuscarinics, only pelvic pain saw notable improvement in those who had stopped antimuscarinics. Unfortunately, we didn't see significant changes in incontinence or nocturia.
